Terms of Service
Last updated · 2026-07-22 · 한국어판 (Korean version)
These Terms govern your use of Semi Process Lab (the 'Service'), operated by Quantum Materials Co., Ltd. (the 'Company'). By signing up for or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
The Service classifies semiconductor and display process literature, combines factual data reported in public sources such as paper abstracts (process conditions and result values) with the Company's supercomputing multiphysics simulation models to predict and visualize process, device and defect characteristics, and provides features including literature search, design tools, AI image generation and report export.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for registering accurate information and keeping your account secure.
- The Company may restrict or terminate accounts that violate applicable law or these Terms.
- You may request account deletion at any time; the Company will process the request without delay, except for records it is legally required to retain.
3. Credits and paid services
- Some features consume credits. Credits are provided on sign-up and can be added by purchase or subscription. Credits granted by a subscription may expire at the end of their validity period (1 month for monthly, 1 year for yearly plans).
- Credits granted by a subscription are valid for the corresponding billing cycle; one-time credit packs state their own validity. Specific conditions are disclosed on the payment screen.
- Payments and refunds are governed by applicable law and the policies of the payment provider.
- Domestic (Korea) payments are processed by our payment gateway. International purchases are sold and billed by Paddle.com Inc. and its affiliates ("Paddle") as Merchant of Record; Paddle’s checkout terms apply to those transactions, and prices shown at Paddle checkout may include local taxes (VAT/GST).
4. Withdrawal and refunds
- You may withdraw from a paid purchase (cancel the payment) within 7 days of payment. However, because credits are digital content whose provision begins immediately upon payment, withdrawal is restricted for credits already used, as permitted by applicable law; this is disclosed on the payment screen.
- Even after the withdrawal period, you may request a refund of unused paid credits through customer support. In that case the amount corresponding to credits already used, and any costs permitted by applicable law, are deducted.
- The Company issues refunds within 3 business days of confirming the grounds for the refund. Refunds for international purchases are processed through Paddle back to the original payment method.
- For details, see the Refund Policy at /en/refund. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under the laws of your country of residence.
5. Intellectual property and data
- The Company owns the rights to the Service’s software, simulation models, visualizations and design outputs.
- The sources, licenses and usage of literature data follow the Data Sources & Copyright Policy at /licenses.
- You retain the rights to content you create or upload, and you agree that the Company may process it to the extent necessary to provide the Service.
6. Prohibited conduct
- Violating the law or the rights of others, or interfering with the operation of the Service
- Copying, crawling or reverse-engineering the Service without authorization, or reselling it commercially
- Registering false information, using another person’s account, or fraudulent use of payments
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- Predictions and values provided by the Service are for process-design reference only and do not replace actual experiments and verification. The Company is not liable for the consequences of decisions you make based on them.
- The Company is not liable for damage caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as force majeure or failures of third-party services.
- To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company’s liability may be limited; the Company remains liable for damage caused by its willful misconduct or gross negligence.
8. Changes to these Terms · Governing law
- The Company may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law. Amendments are announced in the Service at least 7 days before they take effect, and at least 30 days in advance for changes that are unfavorable or material to users.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are subject to the courts of competent jurisdiction under applicable law. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
